I've been tagged!

I guess it was meant to be, 'cause I was tagged twice yesterday with the same tag, by two different people ~ Jimmi Mayo and Kay Squires. Here are the rules:

Seven Random/Wierd Facts About Me:
1. I love violent weather. Thunderstorms, blizzards...I get a huge adrenaline rush out of watching Mother Nature at her best.
2. I am addicted to reality crime tv shows - 48 Hours Mystery, Cold Case Files, Snapped (DH sometimes worries when I watch that one. Heehee), Dateline, Forensic Files...
3. I haven't been drunk in 10 years. I used to enjoy social drinking, but now I just get a headache when I drink. It kinda sucks.
4. My cat sleeps with me every night.
5. I am an 'expert' on Guitar Hero. Yeah, I'm a nerd ;-)
6. I hated dolls when I was a child. When my other friends were playing games like "Barbie wins the beauty pageant", I was playing games like "Barbie gets attacked on the way home from the grocery store".
7. My father was one of the original group of people who 'invented' the Internet.
Since most of my blogging buddies have already gotten this one, I am tagging seven blogs of complete strangers, chosen at random from the Splitcoaststampers BLOG COMMENT thread. I hope they don't mind! There is some amazing talent on these blogs so check 'em out!
Enjoy!

Virtual Stamping Weekend Recap

One of my all-time favorite Splitcoast events is Virtual Stamping Night (Weekend), and this time around was FANtastic!!! The theme was Come to the Cabaret, and there were SO many fun and interesting challenges. And I'm not just sayin' that because I had the privilege of being a challenge hostess again! (lol).

My challenge, entitled Striptease, was to include something on your card that can be removed. The cards created for this challenge were incredibly clever, let me tell ya! Among the entries was a get well card with a Band Aid on it, a Bon Voyage card that included a luggage tag, and an actual Tic Tac Toe game board with little Velcro'd game pieces. Other removable items included, fridge magnets, candy canes, Christmas ornaments, biggie clips, bookmarks, packets of soup mix, coffee....just amazing! Here are some of my VSN creations. The first two are my Striptease cards.

Give Thanks

Today's Friday Fun Challenge is being offered up by my Sassy friend, Sherry. Her idea is to celebrate the upcoming Thanksgiving week by creating a thank you card. I don't know about you, but I can never have too many of these on hand! Please join in the Friday Fun by playing along with us, and link your card here so we can enjoy it, too! If you are linking to your SCS gallery, please use challenge code FFC11.

Because this is the final week of my son's Little League Fall Baseball Season, I decided to create a thank you for our team mom, Cyndi. She has helped to make the season loads of fun, and has worked really hard to organize game schedules, practices, uniforms, snacks, etc. In order to show my appreciation, I decided to make her a special thank you Noteables notepad, signed by all the parents and players inside. I hope she will like it and know how thankful we are for HER!

I also want to gratefully acknowledge the designer of the Noteables notepad, JulieHRR! She has generously given permission for me to post a link to her Noteables design instructions/pattern for this fantastic project. I encourage you to check it out and give it a go! I think these babies would make great Christmas and birthday gifts, too!

Here is a view of the inside, before it was signed:

My Favorite

This is my card for this week's Friday Fun Challenge (FFC9), hosted by my Sassy friend, Kim (Nutsymuhl). This week's challenge is to use your favorite stamp on your card. I couldn't come up with just one favorite, but my American Art Stamps are definitely among my favs. I love stamps that are witty and/or amusing! I even broke out my Prima flowers for this one.
