It's Mojo Monday Again!

If it's Monday, it must be time for Julee Tilman's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! (you can find all of the Mojo Monday Stetches on Julee's Blog, Poetic Artistry) I love this week's sketch! For this card, I used a Pink Cat Studios Asian woman stamp and an All Night Media coin stamp. I colored them in with my Copic Sketch Markers.

Paper: PTI White, Basic Black, Tempting Turquoise, Soft Sky

Busy Week

I haven't posted in a while because I haven't been doing too much stamping. I did find an awesome blog that has weekly sketch challenges (and you know I LOVE a good sketch challenge!) ~ it's Jen del Muro's blog I{Heart}2Stamp. She has some beautiful creations on there. Check it out!

Here's my card for this week's I{heart}2stamp sketch challenge. I just adore SU's Ginger Blossom designer series papers!

I've Been Tagged!

I was tagged by Jimmi at Stamping & Shopping

1. Stamping Style - Style? Do I have a style? A few months ago I would have said clean, crisp lines, nothing cutesy. But lately I have been branching out a bit, and I now like shabby chic, lots of layers, mixing patterns and colors.

2. Inspiration - anything can serve as inspiration ~ a photograph, a piece of clothing, a shopping bag ~ anything with color, pattern, texture, composition.

3. Color - Periwinkle

4. Work space - One end of my bedroom ~ a large table under a window and some shelves

5. Perfect Day - sleeping late (I can only imagine...), breakfast with my family, stamping, chatting with my Splitcoast friends, late afternoon ball game, dinner out, a good movie, back to my stamping table...

6. First Job - Cashier at a corner newspaper stand ~ was fired after two days because the boss's nephew wanted a job

7. Wildest Dream - hmmm... would have to include an extended cruise with my whole extended family

8. Ink - Pallete Noir Hybrid/Copic Sketch Markers

9. Family - Rich Regals

10. Beverage- Iced Coffee

11. Biggest Challenge - Being a parent

...Ok I will be tagging two of my friends and here they are: Kimme (Melena Princess) and Kim (Nutsmuhl)

A Very Long Night Indeed

On Saturday night, my boys attended a 'Lock-In" at our local Superplay, USA. This is like a glorified sleepover party for kids ages 7-15 (supervised by staff and the local police department). From 11:30 at night until 6:00 in the morning, the kids had free access to bowling, laser tag, mini golf, air hockey, food, drinks, and dancing. They had a blast! Needless to say, however, I was up all night calling them on their cell phones and generally being anxious about the whole affair. In order to stay awake, I stamped! Here's what I made:

This is a re-make of a card I made for my father in September 2007. (The original turned out better, in my opinion.) I gave this to my son's Acupuncture Doc, and she framed it and put it on her wall! :-)

Stamps: Stem Silhouetttes, Vases in Vogue,Garden Silhouettes
Paper: Basic Grey (Stella Ruby Collection), DCWV (Pocket of Posies Collection), Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Ink: Timber Brown StazOn, Copic Sketch Marker (Africano)
Accessories: Square Punch, mini brads

This is one of my favorite quotes. I think it is deserving of it's very own card.

Stamps: Sentiment by Rubber Soul
Paper: Paper Salon (glad rags: floral), Whisper White
Ink: Palette Noir Hybrid
Accessories: Bashful Blue Eyelets

Here's the last one:

Stamps: My Favorite Things (Namaste Set)
Paper: PTI White, Basic Gray, Summer Sun, textured silver CS
Ink: Versamark, Copic Sketch Marker (Napoli Yellow)
Accessories: Nestabilities, small circle punch, silver mini brads, silver EP

I can't help but think of a certain episode of Seinfeld when I hear the phrase "serenity now". This card is for this week's Hanna Sketch Challenge, HSC4. I used my Riley stamp (isn't he adorable?) and a sentiment from My Favorite Things Yoga set. This is my first attempt at watercoloring with my aquapainter, so please be kind! :-)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day, everybody! Here's the valentine I made for my hubby this year. The brown square and scalloped heart are made from chipboard. I thought the little Cupid from the Basic Grey Two Scoops Collection would be an appropriate centerpiece for this card.

Stamps: Short & Sweet
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Basic Grey (Two Scoops Collection)
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Square Nestabilities, chipboard heart, brown mini brads, word window punch

My friend Kim Muhl gave me this award. Such an honor! :-) Now I have to nominate a couple of people and pass it along. Here are two blogs that I especially enjoy: Michelle's Blog ~ The Crafty Cat and Desnise's Blog ~ Handmade by Me! Be sure to check them out!

Nice Package

As soon as I saw this Twisted Sentiment by My Favorite Things, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. The DP used for the package is called "Harvest Flower", made by Heidi Grace ~ and it is one of my very favorites.

Stamps: My Favorite Things (Twisted Sentiments)
Paper: More Mustard, Bravo Burgandy, Very Vanilla, Heidi Grace (Harvest Row/Harvest Flower)
Ink: Palette Brown

It's Mojo Monday!

I'm so glad I was turned on to Julee Tilman's blog ~ Poetic Artistry. If you get a chance, check it out! Julee has so many beautiful creations on there. Every monday she has a Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I made this card for this week's challenge. I'm still searching for the perfect image to go with this sentiment, but for now I figured the crazy cat would have to do. I also used my favorite Basic Grey DP from the Gypsy Collection.

Paper: Very Vanilla, Basic Grey (Gypsy Collection)
Ink: StazOn Timber Brown

It's That Time Again!

Every week I do a challenge with my Sassy Friends on SplitcoastStampers.com. This week's challenge was to make a Valentine's Day card with no hearts on it. I chose my "Consider Yourself Hugged" sentiment, and this crazy chicken seemed like it would be a good image to go with it. I love how Basic Grey makes brads to match it's Two Scoops Collection DP. I used two different sizes here. The second part of this challenge was to send the Valentine to someone in the group. Mine is going out to SherryLC05. Happy Valentine's Day, Sherry!

Stripedy Baby

This is my card for today's Splitcoast Color Challenge, CC152. The colors are Ballet Blue, Real Red, and Apricot Appeal. These are definitely not colors I would normally use together, so this was a real challenge for me. Luckily, I happened to have Copic Sketch Markers in just the right colors. It's really hard to see in the photo, but several of the layers are stamped with the Canvas BG stamp.

Stamps: Zoofari, Canvas BG, Noteworthy
Paper: Whisper White, Ballet Blue, Real Red, Apricot Appeal
Ink: Palette Noir Hybrid, Ballet Blue, Apricot Appeal, Real Red
Accessories: Copic Sketch Markers, Apricot Appeal eyelets, large and small oval punches, polka dot ribbon

Girls Night Out VSN

VSN is finally over! Kim and I had such a great time being Coordinators of the weekend-long event, which was held on January 18th & 19th. As a thank you for our fantastic VSN Hostesses, I made these cards to send with some little goodies. I hate to mass produce, but these went pretty fast.

Superbowl Sunday + Party for Kids = No Time To Stamp

I finally have a blog and I have nothing to post, as yesterday was Superbowl Sunday and we threw a little party for the kids and their friends. No time to stamp. Just to get me started off, I thought I'd post my most recent card, made for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge this week, WSC133.

Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Basic Grey (Scarlett Letter Collection)
Ink: River Rock, Palette Noir Hybrid
